Change Point

Yesterday was the last Thursday of the month. In my world, that translates to Young Living Oil Class. There’s about 20 of us that meet in a classroom at the Baptist Church in Manteo to learn more about living with Young Living. Last night, the class was on the“ Oils of the Bible”. That’s a whole blog post on it’s own. But listen to what happen the last few minutes of the class.

Diana, (our fearless leader) announced “Next month we have to meet the Third Thursday of the month and I’m thinking everyone should just share 3 or 4 tips of how they use the oils.”

I don’t really care what night we meet. It’s a great network of like-minded women of different ages and backgrounds who are happy to be there and they make me smile. I’m showing up whenever.

The downside is: I don’t have any tips of my own. Mostly I just do what my daughter says I should and what I pick-up from the YouTube videos done by women who are actually supporting themselves with the business.

So, I went back the standard solution of solving the dilemma of “What in the world am I going to do” and prayed.

It was this morning when the light bulb went on. At the beginning of this year, I was really searching for purpose. A way to fulfill the destiny written in my heavenly book in the amount time I have been given.

A way I could make up for lost ground and hear the words “Well Done”.

I had wasted a good many years feeling sorry for my self. There was a lot standing in the way of a good grade in this test called LIFE. A lot of wrong decisions. A lot of thought patterns and habits that had to be corrected. A fatherless spirit. A lack of hope. A feeling of loneliness. Let’s save time – just go back read my previous blog for insight.

It didn’t take a rocket scientist to see the most important thing was my mental and physical health. I needed a pathway to get it together. I needed a way out of the dismal swamp of health and financial mistakes.

If I was going to open up a way for Jesus to intervene and teach me how to support myself – and there was nobody else who was – my top priority had to be health and memory.

So, here is my personal tip. Next to Jesus – the largest Change Point in my life.

Joy.

And how to grab ahold of it.

At that point of praying and searching for freedom, the phrase “the joy of the Lord is your strength” kept coming up. And low and behold, the oil company sent me a FREE bottle of the oil of “Joy”. To me, it was flowery -kinda light and wimpy. I like robust woodsy scents. Wasn’t a favorite at first. But my daughter’s Oil Mantra is “if you don’t like it – you probably need it”.

So, I put 2 and 2 together and realized this is God at work. I had recently downloaded a Kindle version of “The Passion Bible” (Cheaper then buying hard copy). And the Holy Spirit pushed me to read Psalm 91 every morning. First thing. Apply oil of Joy over my heart and read Psalm 91 out loud to myself. Do it before Facebook – before checking out Lance Wallnau’s crazy middle of the night Periscope or James Nesbit’s early morning Facebook daily post declaring victory for the nation and a draining of the swamp! He has posted every day since the elections! (Well, you are spose to pray for those in authority!)

I did it the whole month of January. Broke out in tears a lot. Healed a lot of dark concealed places. Forgive many and repented for much. Found out who my Father was and how much he really loved me. How dear I am to Him and learned how He always has my back.

JOY CAME IN THE MORNING

I’m not your Holy Spirit , but I promise He will meet you with the right word and the anointing of oil to remove any roadblock to your destiny. He loves you and knows how to get you from here to “Well Done, My good and faithful servant”.

So, my tip for this month’s class is JESUS and allowing Him to anoint you with JOY!

( I think the Baptist would like that)

Psalm 91 The Passion Translation

SAFE AND SECURE

When you sit enthroned under the shadow of Shaddai,

you are hidden in the strength of God Most High.

He’s the hope that holds me and the Stronghold to shelter me,

the only God for me, and my great confidence.

He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy,

and he will protect you from false accusation

and any deadly curse.

His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you.

You can run under his covering of majesty and hide.

His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.

You will never worry about an attack of demonic forces at night

nor have to fear a spirit of darkness coming against you.

Don’t fear a thing!

Whether by night or by day, demonic danger will not trouble you,

nor will the powers of evil launched against you.

Even in a time of disaster, with thousands and thousands being killed,

you will remain unscathed and unharmed.

you will be a spectator as the wicked perish in judgment,

for they will be paid back for what they have done!

When we live our lives within the shadow of God Most High,

our secret hiding place, we will always be shielded from harm.

How then could evil prevail against us or disease infect us?

God sends angels with special orders to protect you wherever you go,

defending you from all harm.

If you walk into a trap, they’ll be there for you

and keep you from stumbling.

You’ll even walk unharmed among the fiercest powers of darkness,

trampling every one of them beneath your feet!

For here is what the Lord has spoken to me:

“Because you have delighted in me as my great lover,

I will greatly protect you.

I will set you in a high place, safe and secure before my face.

I will answer your cry for help every time you pray,

and you will find and feel my presence

even in your time of pressure and trouble.

I will be your glorious hero and give you a feast.

You will be satisfied with a full life and with all that I do for you.

For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation.
