I had to build a wall. My property was being invaded. By free-range chickens. They had no shame. Dug up all my plants and new seed. And left dropping of chicken poop everywhere. I had to take a stand. Set up boundaries and reclaim my patio!
It was about the same time, I streamed Dutch Sheets preaching somewhere (who can keep up with the man). And he, as only he can, said something about getting your land ready -“it time to open doors and shut other doors”.
Listen, I’ve have hung with Dutch for over 35 years. Driven or flown to far off cities to hear what he had to say. Gone to odd locations, at odd times and decreed his last teaching or revelation from God. Hosted him at my church. When he said it was time to shut the door on the enemy – I knew he was talking about those chickens and I knew he had the keys to the solution!
(If you don’t get that key joke – you need to just stream the man or read the first chapter of one of his books. It’s a God thing.)
So, I build the wall. But, it made think about Adam.
How he renounced his authority and dominion – how he didn’t keep the enemy out!
Do you think anyone is going to even speak kindly to Adam and Eve when we get to heaven? I mean they had it all: the glory, the sonship, the dominion, they ruled the planet. What were they thinking? They had the GLORY on them as a covering!! And since they sold out at the drop of a lie. There has been a universal battle for us to get the GLORY back. And the pattern of rebellion they put in place, the mutation of our DNA that has created a constant fight to just get back in the presence of the Lord.
God love him, but Adam had dominion and he gave it away.
What in the world was he thinking? God Almighty had said it to his face!
Genesis 1: 28 AMP says:
And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it
(Using all its vast resources in the service of God and Man); and have dominion over the fish
Of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.
Just stand up and tell the filthy animal to leave!
My Daddy was a drunk and I remember watching “Wine and Roses” at the drive-in with the whole family. Dad and Mom in the front seat and us three little girls in the back. The movie portrayed a lot of our family life but I was precocious and full of discernment even at that age. I knew what what it was about and what was happening. I remember in one part of the movie Jack Lemon’s character had quit drinking and the women he loved was offering him a life with her if he would start again.
I could hear my alcoholic Daddy in the front seat, under his breath, saying “Don’t do it, Don’t do it.”
Don’t you think as Adam watches the reality show called “Earth-Present Time” on the universe sized megaton, every time he sees us fall for the stupid satanic lies and not exercise our dominion, he says:
“Don’t do it. Come on, Buddy. Don’t do it. Just stand up and tell the filthy animal to leave.”
I mean, the dominion has been given back to us. How?
Father God, Yahweh, ruler of heaven and earth, gave the title deed to Adam and his blood line, right?
And Adam and Eve gave the deed to Satan.
So, Yahweh needed a descendent of Adam, a man, another Adam to take it back. Human, but sinless.
So, Yeshua, Jesus Christ, the anointed one, Son of God is send to earth. Paid the price, redeemed mankind and gave us the Holy Spirit. He got the keys to heaven and earth. Ephesians says we sit in heaven with him and rule.
So, it’s time to take care of our personal land. To create a landing strip for the Holy Spirit, Heavenly Angels and the Third Great Awakening where we live.
